Naming Ceremonies

A Naming Ceremony is a very personal way of introducing your baby to your friends and family and is a wonderful alternative to a traditional christening.  This ceremony can be tailor-made to your wishes and can include readings such as poems, promises and wishes from loved ones.  You might want to have family and friends contribute by putting their thoughts for the baby in decorative jars to be opened at a later date.  You can also include bunting, photographs and candles, etc.

A Welcoming Ceremony is a lovely way for parents to welcome children into a new family set up, such as when people marry again and want to ensure that their respective children feel part of their blended family, or for adopted children to be welcomed into their new family. Extended members of families, such as grandparents, uncles and aunties can also participate in the ceremony, if you wish. to make it even more special, using their own words and gestures to convey the love that they feel for the child/children.  This can mark an important milestone in their lives and will, I’m sure, be remembered by them for years to come.
